Went to the international cycle show in Seattle WA last night and the new model Savages are very nice looking. the black engine and cases, but not side covers make a difference and the 02 colors are a silver or black. But the new seat seemed softer and had a woven texture finish rather than the sectioned like my 96. Seat seemed to be softer and taller. I did my part for the economy, ordered 3 pr. of Corbin boots, bought the Handy Industries static wheel balancer, some boot dressing, and glass/plastic cleaner-polish-antifog. Lake Washington Voc-tech school had a booth about thrier program and had a neat display where the instructor was truing a wheel. Used a locally fabricated attachment to the static balancer and another cycle lift company was there. If you can find an old auto store air style bumper jack, the kind made to lift the end of the vehcile up when bumper would allow that. It could easily have the bumper lift part extended to make a similiar lift. Access on one side would be limited, but it should be cheap and take up less space in a crowded garage than the the table type I have. Great show and well worth the $8 and 3.5 hr drive each way in winter weather. If you find one near you I think it was worth it. The trials exhibition was interesting and entertaining to an old trials rider. Max
